Revolve Haha Whetū e-bike tour

The Wellington City Council have painted ten whetū (stars) around the city and called it the 'Haha whetū star search'. Abbie is proposing to visit six of them by e-bike (or energetic people on push bikes) on Friday afternoon before dropping down to enjoy the festivities on the waterfront including food trucks, Ahi Kā experience and fireworks (7.15pm weather permitting) Programme here: Events and festivals - Matariki ki Pōneke - Wellington City Council

Meet Ride Guide Abbie at 2pm, Trelissick Park (entrance off Waikowhai Street, next to railway overpass in Crofton Downs). We will take a cycle tour of Pōneke to check out these fabulous star locations:

Waitī - At Trelissick Park
Puanga - At Ōtari Wiltons Bush on the Leonard Cockayne Lawn
Pōhutukawa - At the Karori cemetry
Matariki - At Te Ahumairangi Hill Lookout
Tupu-ā-rangi - Magpie Lawn at the Botanical Gardens
Waipuna-ā-rangi - at Waitangi Park

The pace will be leisurely, so if you don't have an e-bike, but you are a reasonably fit biker, you are still welcome to join. Bring snacks, warm clothes and a really good bike lock. Decorate yourselves and your bike if you wish in Matariki theme. Plenty of time for good chat, treat stops and selfies. If you can't make the ride, meet up with us on the waterfront.
