Women of Dirt 2018 is open for registrations!
The course takes place on the trails at Belmont Regional Park (Stratton Street entrance) and will take 15 to 30 minutes, depending how speedy or chill you take it. From the grassy event hub, we'll head up 4 Degrees (aptly named for its constant 4 degree angle!), and then take a right turn up Connect Four. It's a really nice climb, with one small pinch. Then we head to down Weka, a Grade 3 track, back to the bottom, with some optional table jumps to finish!
There are two options: Dirt Divas ride solo and Dirty Girls ride as a team relay. Teams can consist of 2, 3 or 4 people and team members can do as few or as many laps as they like. The timing chip is passed from rider to rider as they swap while the rest of the team cheers, mingles and enjoy the Women of Dirt base camp, as well as their bag of goodies.
As always, the event will include a baking competition, so put your best baking forward and enjoy trying everyone else's for a gold coin donation - all proceeds go to the trails!
Once again, The Rolling Mill will be making beautiful awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the solo and team categories. There is also an award for 'Best Dressed', so make sure to wear your team colours/costumes.
We have designed amazing event T-Shirts - order yours when you register or if you are not doing the event, you can order yours separately through the registration page. See Facebook for the designs!
Our sponsors help us run the event on the day and provide lots of goodies and prizes for the riders and volunteers - we could not to it without them!
